Bird Park

Went to Jurong Bird Park on Sunday. BP is quite run down compare to the zoo. Less things to see too. However it's $1.50 more expensive than the zoo!

Reached there just as the feeding of penguins began. They are so well-fed that most did not bother to move when the worker carried the fish out. Some did follow the worker asking for fish. But there were a few where the worker walked right up to them and sort of force them to take a fish. hahaha...

Look at this bird. So weird.. the way it sits.. haha. cute. Our knees bend forward, its "knees" bend backward.

Owls. Soooo pretty.

This one was so cute. It perched on the top most branch and looked down on us. I walked back and forth in front of it and its gaze kept following me. So majestic feeling as all we can see is a body and its two big dark eyes.
Another type of owl. Their flat faces serve as an antenna for sound.

My favourite place in BP is the Lory Loft dome, where you can purchase food for the birds to eat. They used to use fruits but I guess it was messy so they changed to something like fruit juice. And the birds can't resist them.

They used their beaks and claws to pull my cup towards themselves. If your finger comes close they will bite you. I tried to touch one of them and it freaked a little. hehe..

Look at me, so fat... got double chin. Fat arms too.. sian. Somehow my cheek became a little hollow... wonder why is that... old age, maybe... I think I look like a ghost. Perhaps been bitten too many times by the vampires in Facebook. hahaha...

The best surprise~ big iguana~ There is one in the zoo as well. And it always rest on the middle of the pathment like this too. But that one was green colour. This one here is orange, so pretty.

Extremely beautiful~ if only I can have one. I got one years back, got stolen after one week. shit.

At first I was afraid that we might frighten it if we touch it. But then, when we tried, it looked so enjoy loh. hahaha. It will close its eyes when we stroke its head. haha... shiok. So we got closer and closer. It didn't budge much.

If only I can hug it. hehe..

And we found a feather of hornbill~! So big. hehe. I took it home as a souvenir. Maybe I can use it to write to Harry Potter. kakaka....

Melancholy

This time every year, I will be melancholy, for Tioman's diving season is off now. Have to wait nearly 6months before we can go there to dive again. Why is our Monsoon so long...??? We only get 6months to dive. Sian.

I bought a new Karrimor backpack despite my Deuter bag is still in perfect condition. The Deuter is a pear shape bag, out of fashion already. Although it's my favourite pink but still... My brother asked me to use it until it's torn or whatever. I asked him considering the frequency of me using that backpack, when will it be torn?????? It will never! And last week I saw this Karrimor on sale, the one and only on sale. It's 50%!! Maybe it's an old model. But it's lean and tall and just the right size for my height. Any bigger I would look ridiculous. In fact I already do look a little ridiculous with this length but heck, I don't care.

BUt....... I am not having any vacation in near future. No dive trips until next season open either. So, no chance for me to use this backpack YET. Sian. We are going for local dive next month and my friend Andy asked me to use the new bag loh. But haha.. it's too big for local dive, like so 夸张.... sian sian sian. I want a holiday~!

Miko update~

Can you tell what this is?


It is... no, it was, my measuring tape...... hahahaha... It fell on the floor while I tidied up my stuffs and didn't realise it. One day, I pulled out Miko's hideout.... and saw this...
It had been shredded to a thousand pieces... hahaah (yeah well, a thousand is an exaggeration). I had totally forgotten about my measurement tape. I saw tiny pieces of blue colour things on the floor once or twice but didn't investigate what they were. Imagine my shock when I saw this. haha. Oh, yeah, those are Miko's poo mixed in it.

She must have been extremely happy when she took the tape. If the thing she tries to bite is light enough for her to carry away, she becomes excited and will run away with it. She once took my screwdriver n bit the handle. I have a piece of thin but long wood on the floor, it's light enough for her to bite it and she did. And she froze for 2 seconds and decided to run away with the wood. But....... the wood is too long and while biting the wood horizontally it bumped into this and that. So she couldn't take it to her hideout. It was sooo funny.

Yesterday I bought many things for Miko. 3 packets of tidbits and 1 gumcare bite, er.. dunno exactly what they are called.

I don't know exactly what is buckwheat. It looks cute. I suppose she'll like wheat but turned out that she hates this. She bit one and made a noise.... and not interested with it anymore. So I hand these to XiaoBai, my hamster. She took it all and stuff it in her cheek. I can't tell whether she'll like it.. Cos she hasn't really taste them, she just took it and stuff them in her cheek like there's no tomorrow. haha..

And this~ is dried rose! for small animals~ I didn't know they eat flowers... Anyway, I bought just to see if Miko likes it. It's really really fragrant. Before I gave it to Miko I thought if she doens't like it perhaps I can make rose tea with it? hahahaha. I then gave one to Miko and she took it immediately. But I guess it's not very tasty. Cos she discard it halfway eating when I gave her a second one. I gave one to XiaoBai too. But... Xiao Bai tore the petals into pieces, all over the place and didn't seem to really eat them.

And also bought a 3rd hay container. This is a real ideal one cos it's hanged outside the cage, won't cramp Miko's room. And best of all, she can't pee on it! wahahaha..

My room in facebook

Been playing with facebook these few weeks. Getting a bit sick of it already but still.. got nothing better to do. Today added a new application, My Room.

We are giving 1000coins everyday for this application (to buy virtual stuffs like the animals). Somehow after I have spent my first 1000coins, I was given another 1000. I don't know why but it doesn't matter. Just spend it! So with 2000 coins, here's what my room looks like.

I think it pretty much sums up how a person I'm like :D

I want to shoot a sniper

Yesterday I dream that I was in some sort of shooting club. I watched guys firing sniper riffles in turn. I then was queuing to learn how to fire one of those. I waited for a very long time.. Walked here and there, watched many people firing the riffles.

Then finally it’s my turn~ The instructor taught me how to hold it, how to aim, etc. Then I tried twice but it did not fire… The instructor said to me the riffle needs to be recharged… Of course, in real life that’s not the case lah. So I had to wait again for him to recharge the riffle. Just when I was waiting, I woke up! Shit! So disappointed man…. Why was it that I woke up at that moment??!! Why couldn’t I wake up AFTER I really fire the riffle??!! So annoying! I really waited for a long time to use the riffle leh....

So I woke up. I went pee and back to sleep again. I continued to have dreams. In the subsequent dream, I lamented to my mother that I was about to fire a rifle in my previous dream! Hahaha. So funny… I actually complain about the dream in a dream…… I am really brilliant. hahaha…

But I really wish I can learn how to shoot leh. I once went with ST's bro-in-law to a shooting range in JB. I fire those er... those 气枪? They've got real guns, but they didn't provide ear muffs.. It's too loud for me. ST did shoot the real gun. But I don't think I'll go there again. Cos there was really no safety precautions there... The way people hold their guns.. aiyo.. very easy to have accident. But it's cheap there. Shooting is a rich man's game. So I can only dream on loh...

Cute.. so what..

I often go DHL office to self pick up shipment. One day, the female DHL staff who comes get the shipment at my office told me her colleague at the DHL office said that I am very cute.

My manager and colleague told me, our engineer from Japan (who came here a couple of times) said to them that I am very cute.

So, if I am really that cute, why is it that I don’t have a boyfriend now? Hahahahha… it’s pathetic, very pathetic.

Years before when I was working in hotel line, I told my colleagues I didn’t have a boyfriend at that time, and nobody believed me!! GEez, that’s sad you know… I was telling the truth.. have boyfriend will say have lah, why would I lie….

Anyway… that Japanese engineer is quite a cute guy. Having a cute guy commented that I am cute, is quite flattering hehe.. (quick! get a pail and puke...) Too bad we never talked to each other. No chance. I need a Japanese friend leh, to improve my Japanese......
