Vampire love story

I have been reading about Stephenie Meyer's vampire love story series. I mentioned to my brother I wanted to bring a book along when we wait for my mum's eye surgery. And he bought a new book for me, Twilight. He said it is one of the best sellers now. He said it's about vampires. Oh GOOD~ I love vampire love stories. It's so romantic loh. hehe.

I liked the first book from its series of 4, Twilight. I fell in love with the vampire too, who wouldn't? haha..

Then I said I want to read the rest of books in the series and my bro bought them for me. The second book New Moon, was .. "ok"... Not very good, not too bad. Just , so so... What I can remember from the second book was only, that the main female character Bella (18yrs old), keep repeating how good how nice how attractive her vampire boyfriend Edward is, over and over again. It sounded as if Bella is 40yrs old and this is her first time in love and can't help drooling over the boyfriend.

The 3rd book Eclipse got worse. Bella suddenly was "in love" with her werewolf friend Jacob and still claiming she loves Edward more. It was very unnatural how the story had developed. Anybody could have written a story like that. It makes no sense. And the book is conversations over conversations, bickerings over bickerings between Bella and Edward, Bella and Jacob. It was really boring. I came to a point where I just scanned through the paragraphs.

I am surprised I am able to finish this book so fast. I guess I just want to get it over with.

I still have the forth book to go. With Bella "scheduled" to get married with Edward and becoming a vampire herself. I hope it will not bore me as much as the 3rd book.

Why do cockroaches die on their back?

Has it ever occur to you that, why do cockroaches die on their back? It's funny isn't it? Can't they just crawl crawl crawl, breathe in some insecticide and then just die crawling halfway, on their tummy?

Naturally, I went and ask "God". My God always have some answers ready for me.

It turns out that one of the reasons is, in our homes, cockcroaches usually die of insecticide. Insecticides are nerve poison. It causes muscular spasms which often result in the cockroach flipping on its back. Without muscular coordination the cockroach cannot right itself and eventually dies in its upside down-position.

So that's it.

There are other questions and answers about cockroach from this website http://www.bio.umass.edu/biology/kunkel/cockroach_faq.html.

One interesting question was asked? What are cockroaches good for?
The answer is :
Fear of domestic cockroach pests is perhaps warranted because they have been associated with the development of childhood asthma and thus it is better not to have them in your home environment.Cockroaches as a group are part of the worldwide food web. They are omnivore scavengers which clean up our environment and help recycle the organic litter that would accumulate if it were not decomposed by organisms which include cockroaches. Furthermore they serve as food for small mammals, birds, amphibians and lizards. There are over 3000 species of cockroaches and only 10 species are on the World Health Organization list of human pests. The other 3000 species are welcome members of the biodiversity on this planet.

And some people might secrete a particular hormone due to genetic anomaly that will attract cockroaches to you..."Interesting"...

Hallucination

I am sooooo sleepy at work that I am starting to hallucinate.

I swear I see the partition in front of me "breathed"...

Candle in the darkness

A candle light surrounded by darkness,
reflecting a lone self in the masses.
But my thought is not as distinct,
as the candle that is lit.

Flickering light,
undecided mind.
The harder I try to think,
deeper into confusion I drift.

It hurts to stay on,
it hurts to let go.
Candle in the darkness,
Will you bring me into brightness?

Mid Autumn Festival

I had not been at home for many years for mid autumn festival. This year, because tomorrow I'm sending my mum for an eye surgery, so I'm still in JB. My mum cooked some dishes and asked my aunt and grandmother to come and have dinner. My aunt said she's got lanterns, so I asked her to bring some over. I had not touched lanterns for .. at least 15 years.

My aunt was eager to light up the lanterns before the sky gets dark.. haha...
Had to take out my tripod to take more acceptable photos.
It was raining in the late afternoon. It just stopped when we lit the lanterns. And the sky was full of clouds.
Yellow colour lantern was pretty.

My grandma, father, mother and brother. My dad was only "half". Because it was dark and I can't see well in the camera's LCD what I am pointing at.

Today feels like CNY.

I hope I will have a happier mid autumn festival next year. But, unlikely.

Sickening act

I read this from BBC news. SICKENING. TOTALLY SICKENING. Cruel, stupid cowards. I don't understand the youngsters nowadays. Treating another living animal in such unforgivable way and think it is funny. I wish they go to hell.

Quote and picture from BBC News
Animal welfare authorities in Australia are searching for a boy filmed knocking a kangaroo to the ground.

In the video, which was posted online, the boy is shown punching and kicking the apparently dazed kangaroo, as his friend laughs from behind the camera.

It is unclear whether the attack resulted in the death of the animal.

Appealing to media outlets to publicise the attack, the RSPCA said they wanted the culprits to be "caught, charged and prosecuted".

The film of the attack was sent to the RSPCA in the state of Western Australia.

In it, the boy is shown aiming kick-boxing-style kicks at the kangaroo, then pulling it towards him so he can knee it in the chest.

The final aggressive punch sends the kangaroo to the ground, unconscious or dead.

Wildlife experts said the kangaroo appeared stunned, and had possibly just been hit by a car.

They said ordinarily kangaroos would have fled in the face of such an attack.

'Sickening'

The RSPCA said the vicious nature of the attack had prompted it to launch a nationwide search for the two boys.

"We are appealing to every media outlet in Australia to help us track down the cowards behind the vicious attack on this kangaroo," RSPCA Queensland spokesman Michael Beatty said.

"Thankfully this sickening footage has now been removed from the website where it was first seen.

"The next stage is to ensure that those responsible for this film are brought to justice.

"Only a coward would attack an injured and obviously terrified young animal much smaller than himself.

"We want these cowards to be caught, charged and prosecuted."

Best brother on earth

I think, I probably have the best brother on earth. My friends always say to me "Can we change brothers?" hahaha...

Some time back my brother and I saw a very very nice dolphin printed er.. 门帘(sorry, dont know what that's call in English..) one day, at a stall in Giant Plentong, but it cost a whopping RM80!! Just for a piece of cloth and a steel stick to hang it on the door. I walked here and there, considering whether to buy it for my room in the new house... In the end, I deemed it overly expensive for a piece of cloth, even though it's printed with my favourite dolphin graphic...

Then my brother saw the same thing at pasar malam, it was selling at RM30! He bought it. ANd he wait till i went toilet poopoo and hang it on the door. And after I done poopoo, I saw this :

WAHHHHHH... sooooooooooo nice loh. kekeke.... I am going to draw dolphins on the wall. And I have wooden plate in the shape of a dolphin, bought by my brother, to be hang on the door. hehe.. dolphin fanatic.

I said I wanna eat 煎roti for breakfast and my brother cooked for me. :D

I am very 幸福 while I remained at home and have my family. My favourite favourite moment at home, is to wake up hugging my Brownie :D Sooooo 幸福 to wake up to a soft soft doggie~ I have to give my doggie a kiss before I actually get up from the bed.

Btw, I still haven't bath Brownie for once. kekeke...

Life is tough

Life, is tough.

We human are smaller than a grain of sand in the universe, so insignificant, but... why is life so tough...?

I hate not getting what I want. Totally hate it.

Dream job and money, which is more important? A lot of people will say dream job of course. Yes, indeed. But that dream job must provide enough to survive... Else... you will have to eat shit. Unless you already worked like shit and got shit tonnes of money in the bank. Then that's different.

.
.
.
.

I'm seriously not happy.

I can cry ANYTIME, seriously. Maybe I should go work as a "calefare" who only needs to cry.

Zhng my face

Following my first post about making myself pretty (I-become-pretty), I photoshopped another photo, this time, heavily. Changed almost everything. hahahaha. and I look pretty! I used to think this is one of my nicer photos and NOW...... er... not anymore... and.... I hate to look at my real photo now.. How?? I want plastic surgery!!!! I want to make my eyes bigger and I want Dawn Yang's nose!!!!!!! hahahahahahaa......

Cannot cannot, I must not live in lies. kekekekeke..........

Will you give up your seat?

Gosh, shocking... I was reading Stomp forum and students complaint that people expect students to give up their seat (in bus or train) for elderlys instead of expect the same out of other adults. I think anybody who is not elderly ought to give up their seats for the needies.

But the response in that thread, gosh, a whole lot of them say why must they give up their seats? Since they pay the fares too. There are so many of them think this way.. It's scary... Understand that sometimes students, or working people can be really tired after a long day. And they might not give up their seats in such circumstances. But their mindset is already "Why must I give up my seat?" It's really horrible there are so many out there who feel this way... What have our world become?

Thailand crisis

The political unrest in Thailand doesn't seem to have a quick solution.

Luckily I didn't plan any trips to Thailand during this time.

I personally think Prime Minister Mr Samak should not resign. I am glad he persisted still. He was elected by the people. WHy should he resign? SOmeone suggested a re-election. The opposition leader rejected the suggestion by reason of "a waste of tax payer's money". Actually, I think the real reason is that he knows, Mr Samak will win again.

If the military intervene AGAIN, and overthrow Mr Samak's party like they ousted ex-PM Mr Thaksin Shinawatra, this is really a shame to the country. What's democracy? Well, anyway, there's already no democracy when they ousted Mr Thaksin. The military ousted Mr Thaksin, yet the people re-elected Mr Shinawatra's party, though it's in a different name as his party was forced to dissolved.

People said that Mr Thaksin's politic is all about money. Giving the poor a little money benefit so they will elect him. BUT, money is exactly what the poor need. Mr Thaksin improved the rural area's healthcare, education, loans for farmers, reduced poverty, etc. This is what poor people need, not just Thailand, this is true in all over the world. Talk to poor people about liberty, when they can't even feed themselves? What do they care? They want a better life and Mr Thaksin provided that.

Thailand is a very strange country. The military doesn't really take orders from the PM. They only obey what they want to obey. How to efficiently rule a country in this case? It's really strange that this country has evolved to such structure.

I was very happy and glad that Mr Thaksin and wife is out of Thailand now. They applied for permission to go to watch the Olympics and never went back to Thailand. I am soooo happy for him. Although, a large part of his money... is now untouchable by him.... but I'm sure he's still rich, he's a successful entrepreneur. And at least they don't have to go to jail.

Man puts baby in mircowave!

HOw sick is this???! I saw this news in youtube. It happened in 2007. The man threw his own baby on the bed, punched her in the groin, put her in refrigerator before putting her into microwave and turned it on for 10 to 20seconds!!! The baby suffered 3rd degree burn and had had part of her ear amputated..

His wife stood by her husband and blamed it on the Satan.. What the fuck??!! Yeah, go ahead, blame it on the Satan. Crazy.. He pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. In the end, he was sentenced to 25years of jail and fined $10,000. I hope he gets beat up in the jail.
