6 laps today!

I have ran 6 laps on the field today! So happy! It's my best record till date!

Just yesterday, it was my first time to run 6 laps on treadmill in 20minutes. Today I actually managed to run 6 full laps ON THE FIELD in 20min 30seconds! It was very very slow lah. Most of the aunties and uncles were faster than me :p hahahah...

Anyway, I was really surprised because the day before it was only the first time I ran for 6 laps on treadmill. Wonderful! So happy. And I didn't experience any abdomen pain today! Sooooo happy.

Catch your "ball"?!

This is what happened to a friend's colleague.

This lady was corresponding with a Japanese counterpart via email and she couldn't understand what he was saying in the mail. After several emails back and forth she finally understood and she probably was elated and she replied :

"Oh! I catched your ball now!"

...........................................................

HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA...........

I do not know if that Japanese knows there is another thing which the word "ball" refers to.. (*!*! for those who don't know, it also means "testicles"!) If he does know, that will be the biggest joke in his career!!!!!

She should have said "Oh I catched the ball now.". but can someone tell me is it proper English? Cos I had thought it was translated from HOkkien... (liak bo kiu)

The Run

What have I got myself into? The 10k run? It's been a few months since I ran outdoor. Just now I went outside to run. Oh my gosh, after 2 laps I almost die. hahaha...

Running on treadmill is SO MUCH easier! I knew this. But the difference this time is too great. Perhaps because I didn't run outdoor too long.

Maybe in the end, it's still EK who finishes the race and I don't. Just like Mount K. hahahaha.. it's possible. But I must tell myself, I can do it!

Singapore's woman team reached Everest

The first all woman Singapore team has reached the summit of Mount Everest! So happy for them! Technically, half the team made it at this point, as they separated into 2 teams for a higher rate of success. The first team has reached summit. The second team will head for summit on 22nd.

It's really courageous of them and I'm really happy for them, even though I'm not a Singaporean. It's not an easy feat. There're not a lot of people who can do this. I read that one of the girls (I supposed all of them do) wakes up every morning at 4 or 5am and ran 15km everyday. You really got to have A LOT of discipline to wake up at such wee hours and run such long distance. I've tried to wake up about an hour earlier to go running. I've tried soooo many times. Each time I just ended up shutting off the alarm clock and said to myself "Oh..tomorrow.. tomorrow i'll wake up and run.." and went back to sleep. LOL.

Again, congratulations to the girls and hope the second team will make it to the summit too~

21/5 update : When I read the news again, I really felt like crying. Because they've done something incredible. Some people commented at the news of this : "So what if they've climbed the Everest, does that help the poor? Does the economy improved?" Granted everyone has their own opinion but it's just really not a nice thing to say. So EVERYONE must put down everything, every interest, every hobby and concentrate on helping the poor? We do what we can to help, but we all have our own lives to live.

Miko eats ice

It was really hot and I gave a piece of ice to Miko and see how is her reaction to it. And she loved it! Bite into the ice and eat it like a human "krap krap krap" in her mouth. So funny.

For him

I'm so disappointed with you. Can we still consider "good friends"? I don't know. I honestly don't know.

Why do you still put my photo as your wallpaper when you're being so cold to me at times?

Why am I still affected by this? Because of what you said before. Because you said you will love me forever. But I do not think you remember what you have said.

I never expected you to treat me this way. And it hurts.

Maybe I'm just silly, naive.

SOmetimes I feel like sleeping with anybody and tell you about it.

(Grand)Mother's day celebration

We're celebrating mother's day today. But it's not me celebrating for my mother but my mother and aunts celebrating it for my grandma.

My mum and aunts cooked some dishes. My uncle, aunt, grandma, nieces and nephew.

My uncle playing with the garden light. hahah.. When it's dark enough the solar garden light will then light up. It was not very dark yet and my uncle covered the solar panel to activate it. He looked like a kid having fun. LOL.

And guess what other guests we have tonight??
No, not ants. I believe these are wasps. Tiny wasps, about 1cm each. I think this is an egg case. I was so shocked when I saw this, I thought it's bees. I also thought something grew out of the dead pussywillow. My bro stuck the dead pussywillow there as a support for climbing vines. Look how it is stick to the dead pussywillow.

A close up. I don't think these are bees, should be wasps, the typical evil looking wasps. hahaha. just kidding. There are still some that have not emerged from the egg case. Quite amazing, I haven't seen this before. But my first reaction was : eeewwwww..... disgusting.

Some other things in our "garden". A 小苦瓜(mini bittergourd). Really cute isn't it?

This is the normal bittergourd.

"Baby" normal bittergourd.

This flower is called Chinese Honey Sucker. I wonder how come it's not named Honey Provider but honey sucker. Plants don't suck. hahaha...

Played with the camera's aperture priority mode. I love this pic.

A leave of a papaya plant. I thought it was very beautiful of how the evening sun shone on its leave.

Played with the camera's aperture again.

I took this shot without a tripod and with the camera high above me. Turned out pretty well, no blur.

That's all. Happy mother's day everyone~

I signed up a 10km run~!

I went gym after Mt K trip, it felt so easy to run! A 20min run felt like 10min and I ran a little faster. I ran 20min x 2 times total up to 4+km.

Then suddenly I thought, hey, that's not too far from 10km (although it's actually double lah..)...! Then I went online and searched for a 10km run and found the Singapore Bay Run in August. I told EK about it. And we two have signed up for the run! Wohoa!! We asked everyone but no one else was interested. So it's just EK and me.

I still remember the compulsory 7km run during secondary school that almost took my life (exaggeration!). Eventually the run became "strolling". hahaha. We took short cuts, we stopped by old shop along the road to buy ice cream, and slumberly made our way back to school. I believe we're the last to reach back school. Our friendly teacher laughed at us. If you tell me at that time that in future I will take part in a 10km run, I'm sure to tell you "YOu are out of your mind." or simply "You are SIAO.". ahaahha....

Ek and me target to reach within the time limit and get a medal. Not the top 3 medal. Anyone who finished within the time limit will get a medal. I don't know the time limit, I couldn't find out from the net.

So, we have 3months to train. Gambare!! And maybe after that, Mt K again!

32 years of cuteness

My brother probably saw my Mt K photos and msn me : "You know, you look so cute in those photos... But hor, for a 32 years old to look so cute, wah, you haven't grown up a bit leh."

.................................

Just the other day, went out with YY, YK and SL, to view YY's Italy photos and my Mt K photos. And YY commented me and SL still look so cute, I forgot about what exactly. SL then said, we already cute for 30 over years.... and it's not necessary a good thing, something like that. Which I totally agreed.

But it's not within our control, honestly. We are petite, we look like that, and our character is like that.. We can't pretend to be "un-cute". What to do........ I want to look mature so I had my hair permed. But I can't change my baby face. And when I tie my hair into a pony tail, the permed-hair-matureness is gone. LOL.... What to do what to do....

Non mountain climbing photos

We were going to Poring Hotspring. Passed a small stream.

WV and EK on the canopy walk.

Poring Hotspring.

The water was pretty hot, it's from 40-60 degrees depending on what is going on underground. The sulfuric water can be clear, can be milky, again, depending on what is going on underground :)

We had been walking for over 1km, I think? To reach the canopy walk. After a soak in the hotspring water, it felt so good.

Dinner at a restaurant at er.. was it 1500m or 1800m above sea level? I forgot.... We've never had so much crabs till we couldn't eat no more. My stomach wasn't feeling that well half way, darn, else I could have eaten more crabs. I loveeee crabs. But this is really too much for 5 person. If I remember correctly it was 3 full plates, not 2 plates of crabs.

After climbing Mt K, we went Lok Kawi Wildlife Park.

THeir animals are really fat and healthy, unlike the poor animals in Johor zoo... There are 3 elephant babies.

I fed "Boy" some vege, as permitted by the staff. These are pygmy elephants. He's really sweet.

This orang utan is 6years old. I thought it's just 4 or 5.

An orphan civet cat. It's still a baby.

Have you ever seen a cow this fat???

A deer with "eyebrow". haha.

EK and me~
This is near Philipino market. Lots of seafood. Lots of huge tiger prawns, ranging from RM20+ to RM40+.

Big squid bbq.

We tried these seaweed.

It wasn't that awful, hahahah. Just salty, like fish egg. Slimy when you touch it, like everything else in the sea.

It was extremely sunny and darn hot. THere was no cloud at all.

Video-ing sunset.

EK giving local children some fried banana~

Lots of shells being sold, very heartpain to see.

I video the whole sunset process~

It was such a great trip~ Everyone enjoyed themselves and we had so much fun~ Happy!!!
