Wow...

I am going back my blog posts one by one. I wanna compile something. And I realised I have forgotten a lot of what I've been through in my life.... horrible.. forgetting my own life...

And I clicked some of the comments to my posts, I have read them but just wanna refresh my memory. And I came to this one comment of someone by the nick of "The Patient", I clicked on his blog (I don't think I did in the past), and oh my God. He actually put me in the links of his blog. And the title being "Michelle Ng, very very good blog". WOW.
That comment was in 2006. I didn't realise this. Again, WOW. To have a complete stranger saying my blog is "very very good blog" is really.. unbelievable, really flattering. Totally awesome.

I think he hasn't been updating his blog. And I have no idea if he's still following my blog. Anyway, thanks man~!

I LOATHE Reader's Digest

I ABSOLUTELY, COMPLETELY, UNQUESTIONABLY, ENTIRELY, LOATHE...... Reader's Digest.

Reader's Digest, (RD in short) will try all means to get the public into subscribing their magazine. They bombard us with endless mails, and I.MEAN.ENDLESS. I emailed to their head office in KL asking them DO NOT SEND me any more mails. But of course, that, did not work. I did not subscribe to RD but Discovery Magazine which is under the same company. And the nightmare begun. I repeat, I LOATHE Reader's Digest!!!!!!!!

To me, they are no different from professional cheaters. And I mean, PRO! Look at all these gimmicks.
Every now and then, I am supposed to be "one of the lucky few!!" to have won a chance in winning hundreds of thousands of ringgit. Yeah right. Like I am so lucky every month. They send you one mail, telling you how lucky you are, and ask you to expect a subsequent mail for your chance to win the BIG money. It's just like those phone fraud, which they will call you, asking you to do a survey. If you complied, weeks later you'll get another call, saying you have won BIGGG money.

I have no idea whether anyone really won such big money. I doubt so.

When I said they are PRO, I mean they are seriously PRO. Remember, I am the winner of World Silver medallion in my Business English!! (not trying to boast!) And I have problem trying to find out where's the catch. The letter goes on and on and on and on like a neverending ochestra. Lines and lines telling you how lucky you are, the part that mentioned you will be subscribing to their magazine seemed no where to be found.

The latest "effort" got one step further. They even have an event at a hotel. It looks real. Perhaps it's real. But I don't give a damn. I have no interest whatsoever in subscribing such a magazine who will bombard you with endless "You have won RMxxx, xxx!!!" mails.

I don't give a damn for the prize. Be it real or not. I fucking hate such company. I mean come on, you are selling knowledge! Reader's Digest! A lot of people like RD. A lot of people buy and subscribe to it. Why do they have to stoop so low in getting people to subscribe their magazine?!!!!! This is an intellectual magazine for crying out loud!!! And the tactic they use... for God's sake.... such a disgrace.

Every now and then, I go back JB and saw these mails and it absolutely disgusted me. I wish there is a way I can stop them from sending me all these craps. And they are absolutely environmentally UNFRIENDLY!!! People I know and including myself, will throw these craps into the dustbin immediately without opening them. Fucking waste of paper!!

Reader's Digest, I HAVE NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER IN YOUR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. Pleaseeeeeeeeeee keep the money to yourself. Pleaseeeeeeeee stop sending me mails!!!

Won a trophy at age 32

I hardly took part in competitions during school time and hardly won even if I did. I only remember I won a badminton contest that I organised myself (along with ST). hahahaha..

One day, all of a sudden, I received an email from my school for the secretary diploma that I have been awarded "World Silver Medallion" for English for Business.

Wah.. World Silver?! I almost thought it was a hoax, because I finished the course in 2007... But it turned out to be real.

The Chief Operating Officer of LCCI Asia, Mark Disney came to give a speech. Man, I could fall in love with just about anybody who has an British accent.

Without flash, it got blur, with flash, it was too dark as the flash is not strong enough. Got a medallion and a cert.

This is to get a cert from the school for outstanding performance, along with a trophy.

They have "world" and "country" awards. I thought since I've been awarded World Silver medallion, I would also get at least another Country Silver or even Country Gold, depending on where the World Gold winner comes from. But no, I don't know how it works. I only got World Silver Medallion.

What a pleasant surprise to get this award! :D

Goodbye, Michael

I stayed up late yesterday night to watch MJ's memorial service.

It was so moving, and... heartbreaking at the same time.

Some people said all these are just a circus. It was not a circus. Michael would have love this. It was simple and heartwarming, a fitting tribute to the greatest entertainer the world has ever seen. Fans all over the world sent messages to CNN/Facebook streaming site. Everyone loves Michael (well... not everyone..)

Everyone who had met him, everyone who had worked with him, had nothing but good things to say about him. He was polite, he was kind, he was caring, he was patient, he was funny.

If you saw him talked, you can feel that he was genuine, wherever he was and whomever he was talking to. I believe his love for children was genuine. Only because we have all grown up and only have interests in our own children doesn't mean a grown man cannot genuinely LOVE every child. He was a kid at heart. He enjoyed the company with children. Simple as that. He didn't have a normal childhood, in fact he never had a normal life. Can you imagine a life where you can't even go to the grocery store without a bodyguard since you were 10? Your whole life is like living in an invisible jail. He had been enduring such life for 40years. He brought us so much joy, yet he was so lonely. And like his brother Marlon said, "He was judged, ridiculed. How much pain can one take? Maybe now they will leave you alone."

I've never seen a person like Michael. If you watch the interviews of those who have worked with him, they really respect him, they really think Michael's talent was unbelievable. To me, his talent is probably unsurpassable. He was so devoted to music, so creative, so hardworking and so talented. He was a born performer. He was so rich yet he was as kind as ever, as true as ever. Yes, he liked shopping. Too much. But perhaps it was only a way to deal with the emptiness and loneliness in his life.

He cared for the world, he cared for the children. He's such a philanthropist. He's given so much for charity and he had also done many good deeds without the world ever knowing. He was SUCH a giver. He was ever so soft-spoken, since he was a little kid. In my eyes, he really was an angel.

I have been crying again and again for days.. and my tears still don't seem to dry up soon. I am not trying to be sanctimonious. The pain in my heart of his passing.. is unbearable. He was such a large part of my life, my childhood. Millions and millions of people feel the same. He had been entertaining the world for decades. We grew up with him. And I feel so, so bad for the children. Just like when Steve Irwin died, I felt so bad for the children. Michael and Steve were such great fathers their children loved and idolised so much. Yet these two great fathers had to leave their young lives so soon. Too soon. Too cruel.

Millions and millions of people have cried for him around the globe today. The world really has united, for Michael. People of all races, people from all over the world, watched, as the family and friends and fans paid tribute to THE man, and shared their pain. No one has ever united the world like this (except Princess Diana) and no one ever will. It is significantly incredible.

I am thankful that I live in a time where Michael existed. Michael was and is the greatest. Thank you for the joy you brought us through your music. Rest in peace. Goodbye... Michael.. our king, our hero. Goodbye...

Michael the greatest

So much joy he brought us
With his unbelievable talent
Yet with fame came loneliness
He had to suffer in silence

More beautiful than he realized
His smile was sweet and true
You shall see it unless you’re blind
Sincerity exuded through and through

Ever so gentle
Ever so loving
A kid at heart
No one understood

Good deeds from him
Were always in silence
A heart of gold
A man with kind soul

If there was a God
Then Michael was the angel
A God-sent gift to us all
A remarkable man not to forget

The love from around the world
So immensely strong
Michael if you can hear me
You’re the greatest of them all

I have this image on my mind
Of you smiling all the time
Surrounded by animals
Embraced by children
I pray that you are now free
I pray that you are happy
I love you, always and forever.

Rest in peace, Michael

I love you Michael

I'm depressed. Michael is gone. I've been watching his videos over and over again, crying over and over again.

He was so beautiful. He danced beautifully. He sang beautifully. He had a beautiful heart. He was such a giver and such a kind soul.

He watched cartoon while he slept. People think that's weird. If I am rich, I would live like that too. I would live like I'm still a kid too.

If there is a God, I would say Michael is a gift from God. I just watched a video of interviews with people who have worked with Michael. He was soooo talented, more talented than we know (as we didn't know the details of his work).

But if there is a God, I would ask Him why did he take Michael away so quickly. WHy?? Why?? It was so unfair. Perhaps God intended for him to be here for only 50years..

He had so much talent, but he had a troubled soul. It was really sad.

I don't know when will I stop crying for Michael. He was, no, he is my idol, my greatest idol.

MJ Book!!

I just read the news online that a book written by Michael's producer Bruce Swedien was scheduled (before Michael's death) to be released in October. Who would have known... Michael will not be there for the book already...

The publisher moved the release date up to 27 July.

I went to Amazon and found this book. And I pre-ordered it!! I would only get it in September or so though. I wish I can be there in Los Angeles for his memorial service...

Michael I miss you so so much...................................

I miss him already

Watching Michael Jackson's video in Youtube. Boy, I miss him already. Watching the videos bring back a lot of memories... Black or White, Smooth Criminal, Earth Song... etc etc...

I've only begun to grasp the reality now, that MJ's no longer here... I want to cry.

There's no other artist like him, he's the one and only, he really is the king of pop.

Really sad that he's gone now.

MJ, is a child in an adult suit. His heart is still a child.

MJ, I love you~

Be happy in your Neverland.

What a lost - Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson, our idol of all time, has gone to heaven.

What a lost. I loved all his songs and his performances. I grew up with his songs...

It's sad to see how he had became in the later part of his life. I personally believe he would be happy to die this way, if it was not intended. I mean, if it was not commit suicide. If it is purely accidental, I believe he would be happy to die this way. I believe he's worried about his appearance, his face in particular of course. His recent years' performance, he had always, always tried to hide his face.

Whatever it is, I hope he rests in peace. Michael, I love you. I will miss you. Hope you have found your Neverland.

2/7/09 NOte : I should not say he'd be happy to die this way. I believe he would love to perform at the O2 for his fan. There are people who said he's frail, he's not up to it. There are people who said he's energetic, and excited about the concert. WHo to believe? I BELIEVE he's up to it. I believe the photo that showed him rehearsing for the concert. Sigh. What a lost. Michael, I love you. We all love you.

Tioman Jun 09

Wow. THis year we only dive Tioman in June... Every year we will go in March or April...

So many hiccups before the actual day, end up only 6 of us going. But it was a great trip in the end!!

This is Abec, the dive guide and instructor at the dive shop. Trying to wind surf. There was only mild breeze. But he managed to move a short distance.
Xeno crab in Tioman~! And this is not the only one~ Last year people saw ghost pipefish in Tioman. This year, xeno crab~ never really saw it in Tioman before~

Reeno, the dive shop owner dive with us throughout~ brought us to see many things. If we didn't dive with him, probably won't see these xeno crabs.

A xeno crab, and a shrimp on the same whip coral! I only noticed this shrimp when I checked the pictures! kekeke....

It was extremely foggy on Friday morning along the roads to Mersing. Even at 8+am it was still covered with thick fog. The visibility on the road was also limited! That was the first time I experienced such thick fog in low land... It was the same on Tioman. 8+am the sun was already very high up, and it was still foggy. It wasn't haze. I wonder what's going on..

Big fat Jorunna funebris. Saw a couple of them.

This was so small, no one was sure what it was. Reeno was also not sure. Until we zoomed in in the photos and saw the pincers. Should be a crab then. Half way taking its photo it "flew off"!! I didn't touch it and I didn't make big movement. Scared me!! I tried to catch it but it just won't rest on my palm. Luckily my friend George was beside me and saved it to a safer spot.. Gosh.. What a scare...

A different colour xeno crab.

Now I know how this kind of photo was taken. Kekekekeke... Too bad mine wasn't a DSLR camera..

That's a nudibranch you looking at. hehehe.. See the body and rhinophores?

This looks fun ya~

Snake eel right in front of the beach!! Only at about 1.8m deep if I remember correctly.

THe shrimp was almost invisible. Reeno enjoyed finding the tinniest thing which is sooo difficult to shoot..

Pipefish! The others have seen this in Tioman but it was the first for me, so I was really really excited about it~! And it wasn't shy at all.
After 2 dives on Saturday, my friends Winnie, George and Ivan didn't want to do the third. I urged them on (Reeno heard me) for another dive (I wanted another 2 dives actually, kekeke), just one. But they didn't want to, looked at me laughing.. hahaha... Then Reeno talked about the next dive, and asked me "You want to dive, right?" and I said "but I need a buddy..." Then he said "Dive with me lah." (or was it "I dive with you lah."?) wahhhhh.. so honoured~ VIP status like that ya. Sooooooooooo happy.

Afterwards, the rest of the boats were full and I said to Akemi(Reeno's wife who handles logistic), forget it, I don't dive then. But then Reeno came asked me about the next dive again, I said there's no space in any of the boats. Him and George said just do shore dive! Since the seahorse is at house reef (Reeno told us earlier). I have forgotten about that! GREAT then!! YAY!! kekeke...

And TADA~! The biggest find of the trip!!! This was after 5pm. The next morning went the same site again, this time with Ivan, George and Winnie, but the seahorse didn't come out. There're plenty of places for the seahorse to hide in these hard corals. If they don't want to come out there's simply no way of seeing them. I guess they prefer to come out in the evening huh.
I must thank George and Winnie too, heehee.. for helping me to do shore entry. It was hard for me to stand up after donning the gears on the stairs, very heavy for me, both of them helped me get up. heehee.. I was also clumsy at wearing fins half submerged in the water when the waves keep pounding. Wahhhhhh, felt so much like a VIP this dive!! 2 people assisted me and dive with Reeno (along with 2 Japanese female divers)!!!! heeheehehee...
It's a bright yellow seahorse, sooo pretty. But it was too shy. Difficult to take photo. But this is good enough. I'm happY! This dive lasted 96minutes. Luckily it wasn't too cold and it's shallow. The deepest we went was 11+m.

Reeno thinks too highly about me. He didn't know about my "blur" and "losing way" history. kekeke. When we talked about doing house reef again on Sunday morning, he said to me "You know where the seahorse is right?"

........................................

My face went blank....he went on to tell me which buoy it is. I couldn't even understand which buoy he was talking about and that's ON LAND! In the end, he said he should be not going out on Sunday morning, he'll go with us again. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh.............. soooooooooooooooo nice right? Ohh hohohoho... happy!!!

This time we went to 13+m. Muck diving at 10+m. There were soooooooooo many gobies. Everywhere on the sandy floor. And all kinds of colours. George saw a flounder with 3 pairs of vivid fake eyes on its body. Really weird stuff! I was hoping for a blue ring octopus, or bobtail squid or something, I know I hope too high, kekeke.. but Reeno said there is one blue ring at er... I forgot where. Paiseh. hehe.

Nice sunset~

George saw this preying mantis in toilet. It slit a small cut on George's finger. I asked George, "Pain or not?" hahaha... George said "Of course lah!" hahahaha.... soooo funny... I wasn't teasing him but I really wondered pain or not. hahaha.... That's Ivan's body by the way.

Fish attack!! It bit Reeno's calf, luckily Reeno wasn't wearing a shorty. Reeno wore a few layers of rash guards and wetsuits...hahaha. He said "One hour's dive leh" . I totally respect that. Rather than pretending to be a hero and wear a shorty and shivers like crazy on boat afterwards (I've seen such instructor before) which is really... stupid.. hehe.

This is a tiny tiny shrimp.. Reeno is really good at finding the tinniest stuff.
Shrimp in feather star. Reeno got his hand full of feather star for this pic...

Mila, Ivan, George, Louisa, Winnie, me and Reeno the man! He's preparing his strobe. Eric Leong coming with big big expensive camera on Sunday.

Took this pic in the van~
It was a great trip, mainly thanks to Reeno lah. Otherwise we probably see the normal stuffs we always see at Tioman only. Also, everyone's great fun. This was also the first trip we took a ferry which the seat is adjustable, even have trays! Like an airplane! Only lack of stewardass. We actually sneaked in the ferry at 2:30pm although our ferry was supposed to be the one at 4:30pm. And that was a big and fast ferry. We arrived at Mersing a little faster than usual.

I was a very happy diver this weekend~ kekekeke....

Going Tioman

Going Tioman for diving in about 8 hours' time.

It is really not a good day huh... my friends cancelled one by one by one by one....

Anyway, pray for good weather for me!! I will take photos back !! Will be back on Sunday night~
