sleeps like a log
And I always wake up with my face still facing the ceiling.
Think I never tossed around while sleeping. Pretty amazing, I thought, that I wake up in the same position I fall asleep. Truly sleeps like a log, that is. But it feels like I have only slept for an hour or so….

Aawww.. man in uniform
So, when my car was in the parking lot already he continued to reverse his. I looked over that car/driver as I was waiting for him to exit and then adjust my car to a better position. The driver was an angmoh, he looked over, and then he waved to me~ Arhhh… so adorable~ Spontaneously, I smiled to him of course. He looked a bit like John Malkovich, most importantly, he’s in uniform~ I think he’s an US air force guy. Man in uniform is just so irresistible~~ hahhaha…
I have to admit, if he’s an Asian, and he waved to me, I would have had a completely different reaction. Hehe… I would think “Why the hell is this man waving to me??” and look at him with a blank look, if not a “is-he-a-pervert” look. I am bias. I admit. But come on, nobody would expect Asians to behave as friendly as ang moh… am I right? And Asian guys are 99% not as “gentleman” as angmoh. Nobody can deny that. The word “chivalry” doesn’t exist in Asian guys’ brain.
When we go travel, and we see angmohs, a “good morning” or “hello” greeting is very common. And you’ll get positive response from them. For Asians, chances are you’ll be greeted with blank expression or with “why are you talking to me? I don’t know you?” words written all over their face (of cos NOT all Asians are like that). They’d probably think you have some malicious purpose saying hello to them. So I personally think it’s only natural that I reacted the way I did to that angmoh. Hehehe.. I do like angmoh, I am shallow, I know. But I can't help that.
And p.s. I like angmohs like Paul Walker. Wahahahhaha…

Seafood restaurant
I give you, the endangered, Napoleon Wrasse (Humphead Wrasse) :
Napoleon Wrasse is one of my favourite fish, NOT to EAT of cos, but my favourite fish I'd love to see in the sea. These are mostly only juveniles. They can grow up to 2.3m. There were quite a lot there... The one on top (picture below) is the biggest there. So sad..
I've never seen more Napoleon in the sea than IN THE RESTAURANT. Well, that's for certain, I guess. But still... it's sad. I've only saw Napoleons 2 or 3 times the most since I first started diving. Often just a quick glance and it's gone. I hope it will swim as fast, if not faster when a human hunter approaches it.
It's just so sad... seeing Napoleons every time I go seafood restaurants. And look at this picture below... such a pathetic state...
It's an eel. Do people eat this? I am guessing it's being rear there for fun? Very pitiful... It's got no where to hide except one pathetic pvc tube.... I want to cry looking at this eel... 好可怜啊...
And I must say something about this restaurant, the Grand Straits Garden Restaurant (新湖宾). The old lady captain who served us sucked big time! So fuckingly rude. We were looking at the menu, there're lemon chicken and crispy chicken. As all of us know, lemon chicken is of course serve with lemon gravy but it is also fried chicken or crispy chicken, anyway you want to call it. So I asked what's the other difference between these two chicken, and she answered something like, "Crispy chicken is crispy loh, lemon chicken is with lemon loh."
One word, RUDE! In the end she said crispy chicken is 烧鸡(roast chicken). 烧鸡 is very different with crispy chicken of the lemon chicken what? This is the difference I wanted to know. What "crispy chicken is crispy, lemon chicken is with lemon"... I don't think I would even think of patronizing there again. I think she's really not up to the job. Fucking attitude. Well, I guess that's the kind of face you'll expect to see if you don't order big big fish or big big prawns or big big crabs, etc.
Cute pineapple
The first time I saw it I thought I had imagined things because the next time I passby there I didn't see the pineapple.. or I didn't spot it. I don't know. Anyway, it's so cute, isn't it?

A short story
If only time could be stopped…
Words of love had been said, though words are never enough to truly express their deepest feeling.
How true… Silence does speak a thousand words.
Wind continues to blow… clouds changing formation…
“Can’t you stay?” Little girl looking hopeful.
“I’m sorry, truly… I have a promise to keep…”
“Promises are meant to be broken.”
“That’s not me.. my dearest.. that’s not me...”
“I would marry you, if not for this promise.”
Teardrops escape from little girl's eyes. He would marry me...
The sun is beating hard on the face of the Prince. His eyes shinier now, like the water of the lake in front of them. Tears of undoubtedly love…
“I shall wait for you.” Smile the little girl, sadness well hidden beneath.
“This promise requires a lifetime to keep…”
“Then I shall wait for you in our next lives, and next and next and the next… And you will come look for me."
The Prince looks into the little girl’s love-filled eyes. He can feel her heart breaking…
“Is that a promise, my Prince?”
The Prince smiles.
“Yes, it is, my love. That’s a promise that I’d keep with all my heart, and in the many lives of us that are to come.”
Little girl smiles brightly, contented. The Prince feels warmth from her smile, warmer than the sun.
The Prince will leave. Little girl will cry. Her heart can never be whole for this lifetime. Yet, both of them will have the will to go on, knowing someone is loving them, somewhere. It’s been engraved on their hearts.

Face swollen ah??
No, it wasn't clothings nor shoes nor make up. I went to dental clinic today with ST. Both of us came out very happily and feeling very clean in our mouths and *twinkle*, plus brilliant smiles.
I have never gotten my teeth clean by dentist, not even during schooling time, I wasn't required to. But I had been talking about going to dental clinic for like, what, 2,3 years. I kept procrastinate and procrastinate... and used the money to buy things instead of going for dental care.
My last visit to the dentist was, can you believe it, 13 years ago, when JB's phone number was still 6 digits (they still have my record). I remember vividly of that visit. I needed to get rid of a tooth in the upper front row, a new tooth had been growing till very big, and the "old" tooth wouldn't come off... It kept "dangling" there for months and just wouldn't come off! So I went to the dental clinic.
The registering nurse took my details and said, "Got a decayed tooth? Wah... made your left face swollen ah? Aiyo, swollen till this big ah, poor thing loh..."
....................................................
I DIDN'T have a decayed tooth. I said, "No.........". And it seemed that she firmly believe my face was terribly swollen, "Not left side ah? Right side lah?"
And I said, "No......................................"
I DON'T have a swollen face....... I just have a chubby face.........................................................
Anyway, ST and I were pretty nervous... I went in before her. The dentist was quite nice, I was damn scared he'll be a fierce one like many other dentists, doctors in JB. Speaking of this, JB's doctors hardly smile, I tell you, whereas S'pore's doctors are ALWAYS smiling when you enter the room. Nice~
So I told the dentist I want my teeth to be cleaned and I think I need to get some of my teeth filled, I wasn't sure whether they need to be. After he checked, 3 teeth needed to be filled. The cleaning part was fast, guess I didn't have too much of a plaque problem. But the sound emitted from the machine... "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....................." was damn scary... I kept asking myself to think about something else and it's gonna be over in no time. hahaha.. very funny...
The "zzzzzzzzzz" sound was annoying but that was the easy part. I hate tooth filling, it hurts... The first tooth was ok, but after he did the first, he said, "Now these other two, you're going to feel sore/pain (酸)". And I went, "HAH....?"...
And sore it WAS ... He used the "zzzzzz" machine to "dig"(?) the decayed area, then he used another equipment to sort of "pull" them out... I don't know exactly how to describe this but it felt like he's gonna pull out my tooth! My body went rigid (so did ST when she's in there... ).. I kept telling myself it's going to be over soon... But my legs almost wanted to kick the chair due to the sore/pain. hahahaha... I made a sound when it hurt too much and he actually said sorry, which he didn't need to. It wasn't that he poke my gum or anything like that. He's just doing me a service to fill my teeth and pain was inevitable.
He cleaned my teeth, filled 3 small holes, in like, abt 30minutes. I think that was quite fast. Before I leave the room, he said, "Your last visit here was very long ago hor?". I laughed and said yeah. He continued, "13 years ago~! You were still a kid then. Better come clean your teeth half a year from now." I said "un". I don't intend to really "see him" twice a year, but maybe once a year would be suffice.
Oh, after my teeth were cleaned, he used some strawberry taste gel or something, to sort of "polish" my teeth? I thought the sweet taste was disgusting. hahaha.. I think they should make the gel in a few different flavours to let us choose, say strawberry, orange, mint or original flavour~! I would definitely choose original or mint cos I hate the sweet taste. haha...
ST and I left very happily, our teeth are very clean now. Before this visit, the plaque between two of my front lower teeth made them feel like one. When I used my tongue to touch them, it felt smooth as the little "gap" between them was filled with plaque. After I came out, I can feel the gap already~ ST felt similar too. hahaha.. so both of us kept used our tongue to feel the gap.
Very happy today~ Oh oh, ST and I then went to Jalan Perang's Niniq Cafe. We ordered mushroom soup each and wanted to order something else, a main course. But the waitress said we would probably be full with the mushroom soup, so we decided to share the mushroom soup. It really was quite a big portion. And the half plate half bowl thing, I don't know how the hell to call that, was BIG....at least 10 inches across... Usually big plate/bowl means small portion. haha.. but this cafe's mushroom soup portion was big enough for two girls. Unless you don't want to eat anything after that. And most importanly, it tasted goooodddd. I should have brought my camera.
Besides that, I ate Shanghai fried noodle, that was normal, too bland for my taste. ST ordered er, crispy chicken soup noodle or smthg, not sure of the exact name. The chicken was indeed crispy and I hardly would comment a chicken dish delicious other than my mum's cooking. And that was delicious. I liked it.
We were so full when we came out and it only cost us abt RM15 per person. Oh, to my friends, if you wanna go there, make sure you visit their toilet. haha... I like the toilet seat which was transparent with seashells in it. I want something like that if I ever own a house. And the washing basin was the most beautiful/creative I've seen. Very nice, hard to describe... that's why I said I should have brought my camera. 'fred not, I shall patronize there again with a camera. hehe...

Me and my miko's mood swing
Went exercise after work. But I guess the endorphins my body produced after exercise was not enough to cheer me up.
My Miko had a mood swing too, yesterday night. She was out of the cage and resting in a box. Slightly before midnight, she made some sound, according to chinchilla websites, that’s a distress call. I then checked her out, calling her name. She didn’t response much as she usually would-like stick out her head from the box. Nevertheless, there’s nothing wrong.
Once a while she will make such call. She made that sound when I was transferring her in a small box to the chinchilla caretaker too. I guess she’s upset. It sounded like she’s missing her mum or something.
However, that meant, she would not come out from the box nor go back to her cage willingly in a short time. It would be futile trying to chase her or catch her. I tried before and it only made both of us extremely agitated. The only thing I can do is, wait. Wait until she comes out voluntarily. That maybe 1 or 2 hours later.. it all depends on her mood…
So I sat at my desk and listen to some music. Some time later, I started crying, for everything (but not because of Miko of course). I guess self-pitiness strike me again.
Around 1+am , I stopped crying. Went to the box to check on Miko. But she wasn’t there. She had come out and was under my bed. Guess she’s like me, enough with the moody thing and thought it’s time to go to sleep.
She’s so funny. When she came out from the box in situations like this, sometimes she’ll be so wary of me. She took one step at a time to move toward me. It was so funny to see her stopping after every step. If I make any sudden movement she would dash away.
Finally, she went back to her cage. I’m so glad I have this lovely chinchilla with me. I can’t believe I own such an adorable creature, feels like a dream. It was a gift from a friend. I don’t think I would be able to spend hundreds of dollars to buy one of these, however much I love them. It’s all destined. I would imagine myself buying hamsters which are quite cheap but not a chinchilla. And I am thankful that I own one. Chins can live up to 15yrs. By then, I’ll be over 40years old! I hope my Miko will live for a very long time with me.
Little 炫熙
Ehm, I think this is ST's "first appearance" in my blog? I think it is. This photo was taken too close and it's blurred. Sorry...
I think little Xuan Xi would be a very active kid in times to come. hahaha.. I think he looks like ST though most people said he looks like his father. That would be an endless discussion.. whether he looks like his mum or dad more. hahaha... There's no need to discuss anymore lah, he looks like both his mum and dad lah... because he's their son what... hahahaha...

My town My life
On my way back to JB,
walking on the decades old Causeway Bridge,
I can smell the scent of the sea,
the usual saltiness... plus......
stinkiness of rubbish.
Cool breeze blowing on my face,
in a supposed-to-be-hot "summer" evening,
looking over to my left, the calm Johor Strait,
shimmering under the moon light,
while the hustle and bustle of vehicles,
passing by on my right.
Indulged in my own peaceful thoughts,
only to be awaken by the loud lorry honk.
It was not the prettiest scene that one likes.
It was not the cleanest air that one hopes.
Yet it is a place without war.
A place where natural disasters do not strike.
It is as close to paradise as you perceive it to be,
bad as hell if negativeness is the mere thing you see.
Not a perfect town,
yet a proper town.
Not a perfect life,
yet a proper life.
My town. My life.
I hate cockroaches
Why do cockroaches exist??? They are so.... disgusting... I've got one died in my drawer yesterday... EEEWWWEEE.... It must have eaten the poisons I put in the drawer. I used the vacuum cleaner trying to suck it up and it didn't budge at first... It was stuck to an envelope in my drawer... DOUBLE EEEEWWWEEEE....!!!!!!
I wonder if any scientist is working on exterminating ALL cockroaches... I hope one day every.single.one cockroach will die.. die... DIE....!!!!!!!

Tree top walk
This snake almost fall on our heads just minutes into the trekking. My camera has only 3x zoom, I didn't expect to be able to catch a clear photo of it. You can even see its scale~
We were looking for big spider web. With the strong sunlight, it would make an interesting photo if we found big spider web with big spider on it. But we only found a small web. Nevertheless, with a bit of sunlight at the corner, I like this photo, .
Very pretty spider, eh? It's got biggg eyes. When I wanted to shoot it from the front of its face, it kept turned around. I like the first photo's perspective.
Er, there's a very thin lined spider web here.
Don't know what insect is this.
Gab took the photos of this grasshopper. This grasshopper has a very biggg abdomen, super ugly. But its front closeup looks cute.
I like the camera focused only on the grasshopper and the front n back part of the wood railing blurred.
I thought this won't make an interesting photo because the spider was so small. So Gab took the photo. It turned out very nicely. The water droplets are very clear when enlarge the photo to its original size. I love this photo!
This grasshopper is bright green and brown colour.
Very ugly and disgusting bbbbiggg cockcroach! (i guess it's a cockcroach) The brown leave was not a small leave, you can see from the grass behind and guess the actual size of this cockcroach.. I thought it looked clumsily big but it was fast when it ran away from Gab who was trying to get a second pic.
Very weird er... root?
This is it, the tree top walk.
It wasn't exactly as tall and as scary as I thought it would be. But still I was kind of scared. There weren't a lot of trees around the tree top walk, so actually, nothing much to see. But one gets to see very far from here of course.
