Auctions

It’s very funny to browse through Yahoo Auctions. I searched by the keyword “scuba”. Many items are available, used and unused.

I always wonder, some of the sellers, they think people are idiots or what? You can very often see them selling used items at a much higher price than a new one!

Take this for eg.

Would you believe this is a “hardly used” , less than 5 dive trips’ BCD ???? Duhhh…… I’d say this is used for at least 50 dive trips. Unless this BCD’s owner let his BCD out under the sun EVERYDAY. This item had been on Auctions for a longggg time, probably 1-2 years. (I surf it when I’m free) Auction price starts from S$250, with a buy price at S$299. Such price for such a condition of item, he can keep the BCD forever in his closet. You can buy a new one at less than S$400...

Lots of sellers put up very unreasonable price for used items. I mean, who would buy a used camera selling at S$400 when you can get a new one (same model) right about that price or even less than S$400 if you’re good at bargaining?! Maybe the seller is not in need of that money so they don’t mind waiting for such SUCKER. But it’s really ridiculous… selling a used item at the price of a complete new one. They are only wasting their time posting the auction. What were the sellers thinking??? For someone to be attracted to their items with such price… he/she must be a FUCKING NO BRAIN SUCKER.

Agree! but I think they themself are idiot. the BCD in the Pic from My experience were about 5 years old and done about 500 dive. most likely its a rental set from one of the dive shop. and its also a cheap BCD.
