About these products

I think I never bought the same foundation twice. One because I like to change the products I use, second because it takes a long time for me to finish one... by the time I finished it, it is already an obsolute range.

I bought this Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation the other day. I tested a few, some brands like Maybelline was too dry to my taste. It's matt finish yeah, but too matt it's hard to apply. I personally felt that it tends to dry up before I finish spreading or balancing it out on my face.

This one is more to my taste.

It really is colour stay, man... It said "won't rub off with normal activity" and it was really so... In fact, it felt like painting 油漆 on my face. hahahah... a bit exaggerated maybe. But when I wanted to wash it off my hands, it still didn't come off completely after twice with liquid soap!! And it was still stuck to my stainless steel ring after the third wash! horrible... But it looked ok on my face.

Ever since I "discovered" wrinkles on my face..... I decided to invest a little more on skin care products..... I hope it's not too late........................

My first is to buy a good make up remover. I used an oil make up remover for the first time at my Japanese colleague's house and I thought it's good. It can remove waterproof mascara as well which is very convenient. My colleague's was bought in Japan. So I have to search one here myself. I have an milk cleanser but I think it's not very effective. Thus today I went out with Natasha, we went to look for make up oil cleanser.

We checked out Clarins, Lancome, etc, in the end I bought Clarins. It cost RM92. They all cost about the same. Afterwards we went MAC, cost about the same too. Only Shu Uemura is more expensive, 150ml cost RM99. This Clarins is 200ml.
It's got oil based and water based ones. I chose the oil based and the promoter gave me a sample of the water based cleanser. She wanted to give me a small perfume but I don't quite like that perfume's smell so I asked her to give me this instead. But actually I should ask for both. The promoter said that there's no need to wash face with other facial foam or cleanser after using the water based cleanser. With the oil based, just need to rinse with water.

I tried to remove half my face's make up with the water based cleanser another half with the oil based. Remember my foundation was quite thick... It's harder to clean with the water based one. It does come off but I prefer the oil one, it cleans easier. And after I rinsed my face with water my face felt thoroughly clean... I made the right choice~ soooo happpy... I really like it~ But I believe Lancome or other brands work as good as this.. since it's not a very difficult technology...

By the way, I somehow noticed that my skin has improved recently. I didn't mention about it today but Natasha commented that my skin looks better than before. soooooooo happy... it proves that I wasn't imagining things myself. hahahaha.... I wonder is it because I drink more water now.. or... For the last 3 weeks, my skin peeled off a lot, perhaps due to sun tan. I sort of panic and began diligently applied the Himalayas moisturiser I bought some time ago. It stopped peeling and all of a sudden I noticed my skin looks better now. It can't be that miraculous ba... just 3 weeks using the moisturiser... hmm... I don't know... I should go for sun tan again and use the moisturiser and see if my skin will peel...

Anyway, Natasha and I had something to eat at DeliFrance at 3pm. We window shopped around, and then had coffee at Black Canyon Cafe. I like their coffees but not the food. They've got many choices of coffee but after I spent a lot of time reading the menu, I will still choose their Black Canyon coffee. This happens everytime. hahah... It comes with a small cup of tea, for you to "wash off" the coffee taste in your mouth afterwards... It is also served with some alphabet biscuits. Cute~

It felt so good to eat a little, shop a little, then drink a little.. Felt like a tai-tai. How nice it would be if I can do this everyday.... hahaa.... daydreaming again...

The importance of non-chiobu

I am no chiobu.

I am short, I have Jackie Chan’s nose, I have big eye bags (NOT big eyes.. sadly.. haha), etc etc. I am a non-chiobu. If you ask me would I think of plastic surgery my answer would be yes of course. However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t love myself. I love myself. Everybody knows that. But if given a chance to make myself prettier, more lovable. Why not?

Now that I don’t have the money to “enhance” my beauty, it’s no big deal.

So I am still a non-chiobu.

It doesn’t mean that my life is insignificant. I think non-chiobus are so important. Because, with us non-chiobus around, only then will accentuate chiobus’ beauty. If everybody is chiobu, then nobody is chiobu anymore as everybody will be on the same level in terms of beauty. an unconvincing argument, eh? hehehe…

Anyway, my dream is still to marry a plastic surgeon and have free plastic surgery.

C-En-En

I do not like Chinese national broadcaster on Spore's tv news.

"CNN" becomes "C-En-En".

I really really hate it.

Look what? Look?

I drove my company car out to run some errant. When I came back, a car was blocking the one way lane at my office building. It was the car workshop people. The two men were talking.

I waited for a short while but they did not seem to care that there was other people behind, and did not seem wanted to move. So I "horn" at them.

The guy standing beside the driver seat looked up at me with an unfriendly expression. Me too looked back straight at him with a "buay song" face. I don't know if he can really see my face because of the reflection on the windscreen. We looked at each other for quite a while you know?! What the fuck?! Look what? You fucking bastard was blocking my way and I was nice enough to wait for a while before I sounded my horn! FUck him! Asshole!

Then they were still not moving. This fucking idiot started dialing his handphone and talked on it. I waited for another 10seconds. There were cars behind me. And I sounded my horn for a second time. He continued talking until he finished then only he moved slumberly. Fucking stupid asshole!

Sick & tired

I am so damn sick and tired of sneezing EVERYDAY. Sooooo sick and tired of it.

I wonder if nasal spray works. I've used once years ago. Can't recall whether it was useful.

It had gotten better some time ago. I could go weeks without sneezing. but now it's back again. Fuck!

But I won't sneeze in the morning when I'm on a holiday at the beach. Even if the room is with very cold air-cond. Guess I just have to move and stay at the beach. kakakakaka.....

Don't like new spec..

I hate my new spec......... It looks good on me but.....

I feel that my vision is hindered by 20% when wearing this spec........ Its frame "leg" is those wide type which is quite popular now. My previous spec was quite fragile type. So I thought I'll change and try this. But I really hate it!! It's so wide that I can no longer see the things that I normally can see (sideway).........

Of course I can't just change it... it cost me a few hundred bucks........

Wearing this spec... everyday it feels like I am not completely awake ........ everyday I feel my eyes are so heavy........... Never had I thought it'll affect me so greatly. I hate my spec. Contrary to my previous one, I am constantly aware of my spec..... I hate it!!!!!!!!!!

Asian Civilisation Museum

The other day I went to Asian Civilisation Museum with Gab. I wanted to see the SanXingDui (三星堆) artefacts.

Before we went in the ACM, took some photos

Some angmoh shooting Raffles.

This is the exhibition : Mystery Men.

There are several these screens in the museum. Asking you to register something. The actors/actresses in the screen were kind of "funny". Some were reading, some were humming, some were exercising their necks like this one, waiting to be interact with you (touch screen).
The introduction :

I cannot post photos of the artefacts on the blog, I might be sued. yeah I am 胆小鬼.. But I guess photos from the brochure are alright??

Here's one. Look at its bizarre protruding eyes and big ears, suppose to depict a human? So weird.

And this is the largest artefact measuring at 1.32 metres in width! Some of these bronze artefacts were made in several pieces individually then casted into one. Amazing. And their workmanship were very good, these piece here shown in the photo, has very smooth surfaces. Remember they were made 3200 years ago... Unbelievable.
And the faces of these masks were so different. I feel they look more like aliens than human. How great would it be if I can travel back to their time, and see why they made the masks like these. They are so different and unique. Very worth a trip to see these artefacts!

There were other galleries showing other asian culture things too. The religion stuffs etc. But most interesting of course was the SanXingDui artefacts.

There were also a small exhibition about Singapore River, believe it or not, the rubber duck is also a star of the exhibition!

Me at the entrance.
This was the first time I ever thought of visiting this Asian Civilisation Museum. I never even know its existence until the news told about SanXingDui exhibition coming to Spore. I also never would want to visit this sort of museum had it not been this SXD exhibition. It's worth to see~ by the way, it costs S$8. Cheap~

Broke...............

I am broke, I am so broke. Spent half a day shopping with ST, came back home at 7:30pm, asked my bro to continue shopping at Jusco.

What a great shopping day~! Most satisfying shopping day in a longgg time~

However, my recent spending... is ehm.. quite a lot to me... here's a summary :

Diving insurance : AU$145

Top from Ezen : S$32.90
Top from ... (forgot) : S$34.50
Top from Osmose : S$24.90
Top from PhutureLondon : S$19.90 (or LondonPhuture?)
Skirt from G2000 : S$30.00 (or S$31?)
Skirt from G2000 : S$30.00 (or S$31)

Revlon liquid foundation : RM48 (after 15% discount)

That's a total of :
AU$145 (about S$170+)
S$172
RM733 (about S$323)

=S$665...........

man... that's a lot to spend in one month. I paid some by cash, some by credit card, going to pay my bro slowly (cos he pays the credit card bill first).

I almost spend the money saved for diving trip.. I can't pay them all.. Once you start shopping you'd just lose control... therefore.. better don't go shopping often. I am so broke.

Today I am wearing my new spec. I feel that I've lost my 女人味wearing this spec..... However, something happened when ST and me went makan at Yews Cafe.

The waiter said something to me, well, should be, asked me. But I couldn't catch what he was saying. I went "Apa?". He said it again, I thought I heard "model" but I thought it was supposed to be a name. I thought he perhaps thought I was someone he knew. I was still blurred when he repeated, then he said, "Bukan ah?". Then I shook my head slightly and he left our table.

Then ST said something like, "Happy hor? Someone asked if you were a model." I was like huh??? Was that what he was saying? ST said that's what she heard. haha.. so funny. Was it really the case? But can't be. I guess he just trying to make a customer happy by saying a little white lie. But at least now I think I am not very ugly wearing this new spec, ya?

ST and I had escargot, shisamo salad. She had something..orange salmon for main course. I had ostrich steak, which half way eating it, I felt so disgusting like I was eating raw meat. Couldn't finish it. I almost throw out one piece of the meat... decided to give it up after that.

I was on MC on Thu & Fri, but as I was not too sick, I went to the Asian Civilisation Museum. And it was darn cold and I got more sick after that. Today I was better, but after a day's shopping and in the cold JUsco... I am fucking sick again. Feeling really nausea now. So... signing off. Ciao.

Karaoke night

I had a great evening with YY and Gigi yesterday . We went KBox at Marina Square. Gigi and I went to MSquare by ourselves first as YY was late. We then walked and walked and walked till almost reaching SUntec…… but we were going Msquare..not SUntec.. It turned out that Gigi thought I knew the way and I thought he will lead the way……………

Karaoke at Kbox was great. Well, the food was great, service was great, sound system, so so… I don’t quite like it. But the food makes up for it. One person pays $24 for karaoke, 1 drink and buffet dinner. The buffet was very good actually, it’s got Chinese food, some fried stuff, herbal soup, others mostly sushi, also got chawan mushi, not forgetting dessert (cakes) and ice cream. The thing I like most, was, oysters~~~! yummy~~~ The oysters were so big, and very fresh, very satisfying indeed. There was also sashimi but only salmon. YY said it was fresh. We totally enjoyed eating the food.

I sang mostly old songs………I even sang 船歌~~ hahaha… really grown old indeed, I don’t like most of the new songs. But I sang船歌to test my 气, cos I’ve been playing badminton almost every week with CK for about half a year, wanted to see if I can see one note longer. And indeed my 气is “longer” now~~ Sooooo happy. Hahaha…. There were quite a number of Japanese songs available. And I was so happy singing those Japanese songs~~~ When I sang other Chinese songs, YY commented that whatever songs I sang it then sounded like Japanese……... ahahaha……

And we all sang 郑秀文’s “爱的wan歌”, so nice to “geng” and sing this song, the 3 of us sang together this song, so shiok. We sang this for the second time before we left. And Gigi suddenly sang it in Chinese, caused me to burst into laughter and we laughed non-stop. He did it on purpose but I thought his Cantonese was bad and sang wrongly. I laughed until I got tears in my eyes.

The 3 of us walked to MRT station together, took the wrong way again, really jialat… hahaha…… When we reached the control station, YY said “Hey, the train to Pasir Ris came already.” (YY and I take the same train) And I said in a matter of fact, “Yeah, 那你冲下去loh.” HAHAHAHAA……… I said so spontaneously and it was so funny at that moment. YY and I had a good laugh.

It was fun yesterday. Very happy.
